Over the years we have taken our children to many different life enriching activities from various sports to music and dance to crafts, but surprisingly, neither of us were ever able to find one for cycling. So we were really excited when we learnt of the opportunity to be able to bring this to the kids in our local area.
Yang - I have a passion for sports and have participated in many sporting activities. After having children and teaching them both to cycle at a young age, I saw them grow in confidence and excitement. Now, one of my favourite family activities is to jump on our bikes and go for a cycle either to the forest, to the park or just around the local area.
Lizzie - Having grown up with a background in figure roller skating and dance, I know from first-hand experience the importance of balance and just how transferrable a skill it is throughout life. When teaching my own kids to ride, this was at the forefront of my mind, and after helping them to develop this skill, they were away in no time. It is beautiful to see them now, choosing to jump on their bikes as a social activity with both friends and family members, knowing that they are not only having fun but exercising at the same time.
We see cycling as a life skill and being able to teach young children this skill in a fun, enjoyable and social way, is the perfect combination.
